I’ve always been drawn to the meaning behind a moment; the subtle, often unspoken connections that make a day feel the way it does. That perspective was shaped long before I ever picked up a camera. I was incredibly close with my grandfather; frequent visits, weekly phone calls, a steady presence in my life well into adulthood. Because of that, I didn’t just know him as a grandparent, but as a person—someone who held stories, history and a deeper understanding of where our family came from. Losing him in my 30s shifted the way I see time, memory, and what it means to hold onto the people you love.

Now, with a family of my own, that meaning feels even more tangible. I understand how quickly seasons pass, and how much of what matters lives in the in-between—the quiet exchanges, the familiar gestures, the way people come together. Preserving a legacy, to me, isn’t about perfection or performance. It’s about creating something honest and lasting—imagery that reflects not just how your wedding looked, but what it meant, and who was there to witness it. The kind of photographs that will be returned to, shared, and felt for generations.
